CTG Policies

COVID-19 Policy

We are constantly monitoring current guidelines for protecting our volunteers and patrons against the COVID-19 virus and will keep a detailed list here for you to check:

  • Neither proof of vaccination nor masks are required at this time.

Directors

CTG prides itself on being a director-driven theater. We strive to give directors the resources and support they need to realize their unique artistic vision. Directors are selected based on their past experience at CTG or upon a body of work in the region with which the theater leadership is familiar. New and emerging directors are welcome to submit themselves and their play selections for consideration, however, CTG may require new directors who do not meet the above criteria to first direct a smaller production such as a one-act play or workshop.

Handicap accessibility

Our theater is handicap accessible and can accommodate up to two guests in wheelchairs at each performance.

Leadership

CTG is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees that meets monthly to conduct theater business. The Board consists of a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 CTG Members. Membership to CTG is free, but must be earned by service in our productions, either as a cast member or crew volunteer.

Parental Guidance

Some CTG productions are not appropriate for all ages. If a show contains any material, either visual or spoken, that some audience members may find objectionable, we will typically state this in the show description. However, if you have any specific questions about show content, please contact us at [email protected] or 908-879-7304 and we'll be happy to guide you.

Parking

Parking is available behind the Theater as well as in the parking lot of Grove Street Park which is 1 block southeast of the Theater on Grove Street. Ample free street parking is also available. Please observe and obey all local parking regulations.

Prices

Tickets are priced per show. A $2 discount is offered to seniors age 65 and over and students under age 18. This discount does not usually apply to special events, which are already priced at a discount for all.

Refunds

All ticket sales are final. If you would like to make a special request for a refund, please contact us at [email protected] or 908-879-7304.

Seating

Chester Theatre Group performs in an intimate, in-the-round theater that seats approximately 100 people. All seating is general admission, but we do allow donors who have achieved Patron status to reserve specific seats. Due to the intimate nature of our theater, late seating is very difficult and will be determined by the box office staff on a show-by-show basis.
