A Special Concert Presentation

The Tony Award-winning Best Musical comes to Chester Theatre Group for the first time ever in this special concert presentation. 4 performances, 1 weekend only! TITANIC provides a glimpse into the events leading up to and following the horrific sinking of the “unsinkable” ship, Titanic. It is a factual story of the ship, her Crew and Passengers, 1,517 of whom perished on April 15, 1912. The Chester Theatre Group is presenting the Ensemble version of the Tony-Award winning musical, which includes an additional song written by its composer, Maury Yeston. This highly acclaimed rendition utilizes cast-doubling and a smaller orchestration, which further suits Chester’s ability to tell the story in the intimate space of The Black River Playhouse. This is by no-means, a “scaled-down” version; our cast of 27 includes some of the finest voices in the state, accompanied by a six-piece orchestra, conducted by Director/Musical Director Clifford Parrish.
